Donate to UC Cancer Center
The UC College of Medicine has a long history of excellence in cancer research. The Barrett Cancer Center, founded in 1988, is a comprehensive cancer center accredited by the American College of Surgeons. Collaboration between scientific exploration and bedside care is at the heart of the Barrett Center. At the state-of-the-art Vontz Center for Molecular Studies, cancer vaccines are being developed, nationwide clinical trials are taking place, and new approaches are being discovered in cancer detection, prevention and treatment.

Funding Opportunities
Your financial support will help to allow patient care and cancer research to thrive at the UC Cancer Center. The following our specific funding programs that donations directly support.

Cancer Research: Physicians and scientists at The Barrett Cancer Center are contributing to a better understanding of the cause, development, treatment and cure of cancer. Every day, cancer vaccines are developed and new approaches are discovered in cancer detection, prevention and treatment. Cancer research saves lives. Patients rely on the Center's work, and UC researchers rely on donor support to sustain the momentum of their biomedical research programs.

Cancer Vaccine Program: As a leader in cancer vaccine research, the Center has served 350 patients from twenty states and South America through clinical trials. Gifts to the cancer vaccine program will support work in the research labs and help advance clinical trials associated with cancer vaccines in development at the University of Cincinnati.

Physician Scientist Program: This program provides resources to broaden research skills of promising research-oriented physicians. Increased funding would provide salary support, underwrite research costs to initiate independent research programs, and allow senior research faculty to serve as mentors. Upon completion of the program, researchers will be better prepared to compete for external grant funding and continue the path to becoming tomorrow's leaders in oncology research.
